I started this web site several years ago as I couldn't find any details about Lidos or Swimming pools on the Internet. I am very pleased to see that others also have the same interest and now there are more places for information. I am not likely to make any changes to the details here but for where to find more current information here are some ideas.........
If you want information about Lidos in the UK then I would 100% recommend the book Liquid Assets the best of British lidos by Janet Smith. It lists all lidos in use and (sadly) closed. A really good book. Don't mess about peering at a screen - buy a copy and browse at your leisure.

If you you fancy a swim in an Olympic, 50m, or an outdoor pool or lido in the UK but have no idea where they are this is the web site for you. I have collated most of the information from web sites so if you find anything wrong or have details of a pool that you think should be added please let me know.
I have not tried to list all indoor pools in the UK as there are hundreds. Most towns will have at least one so check the local phone book for details or take a look at the web sites that list all pools.
The aim of this site is to promote swimming for everybody and to encourage more people to swim in the underused Lidos and Outdoor swimming pools in this country.
