Lickey means "slab of Rock in a Forest of enclosure"
- 1726 - Road from Birmingham across the Lickey Hills to Bromsgrove
was turnpiked.
- 1831 - New Road built via Rednal - thus avoiding the steep
climb up Rose Hill. Birmingham Road is now the Old
Birmingham Road.
- 1840 - Barnt Green station opened.
- 1851 - Lickey Elementary Schools built.
- 1856 - Holy Trinity Church built at Lickey
- 1904 - Bilberry Hill Tea Rooms given to Birmmingham City
by Mr and Mrs Barrow Cadbury.
- 1990 - Lickey Hills Visitor Centre opened.
